OpenAI's new new Tasks feature - is it useful in real estate?

Over the last couple of years, we’ve all gotten pretty comfy with how AI can generate content for us.

But did you ever wish it could go once step further and anticipate what you want or even complete specific tasks on a schedule - just like putting a recurring appointment in your diary?

That's precisely what ChatGPT's new Tasks feature aims to do. As usual, I've been having a play with it to see what the use cases in real estate might be.

Setting up Tasks

1. Access Tasks through your ChatGPT paid plan

2. Look for "ChatGPT 4.0 with scheduled tasks (Beta)" in the dropdown menu

3. As far as I can tell, you need to be really specific right now with two things:

   • The WHAT: Your specific request

   • The WHEN: Your preferred time for when the task should be performed.

For example, “Please remind me to walk my dog” (the what) “at 3 pm every day” (the when).

Real-World Example

I've set up a daily real estate news summary task that delivers global market updates to me every morning at 7:00 AM. The nice thing about this is you can continue to chat to the results delivered by ChatGPT (but can the robot compete with The Brief… ?)

Practical Applications for Agents

While this feature is in Beta, I’m not sure how useful it really is, but you could try setting up things like:

• Daily prospecting reminders

• Market research summaries

• Regular social media content ideas

• Weekly goal check-ins

• Industry news updates

• Journalling time

• The list goes on…

What's Next?

As this feature develops, we might see more integration capabilities that could revolutionise how we handle routine tasks, including integrating with other tools we use (for example, our calendars).

For now, it's worth experimenting with basic tasks to understand how they might fit into your daily workflow.
