Limitless

"Everything I had ever read, heard, seen was now organised and available" - Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra in Limitless

Many of us marvelled at the movie Limitless (2011), starring Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra - a struggling writer who stumbles upon a mysterious drug which enhances his cognitive abilities to superhuman levels.

With his increased ability to learn and retain information, he was able to rapidly read and absorb vast amounts of knowledge, which allowed him to become an expert in various fields and gain a competitive edge in his career, eventually finishing his own book, making millions on the stock market and gaining success beyond his wildest dreams.

You can achieve a similar thing without the drug that has the nasty side-effect of Robert di Nero giving you nightmares.

Tool of the Day

I came across a Chrome extension yesterday called Glasp.

Here’s a quick demo of how it works:

To give you some idea of how to use it, I clicked on this hour-long video on Youtube:

From here, I didn’t watch the video, with the Glasp extension installed it hit the “Transcript and Summary” Button.

From there, it opened the transcript in ChatGPT with the prompt

Summarize the following in 5 bullet points [transcript].

Apart from cutting the transcript off at the 55min mark, the response I got was this:

  1. The video is about five tactics and strategies to increase appointments for real estate agents.

  2. The speaker is the CEO of Curator, a premier marketing company that works with top teams and agents for over a decade.

  3. The first step is to have a flywheel that your business is built on, including lead generation, lead nurture, and lead conversion.

  4. The best way to generate leads is through pay-per-click advertising, and outbound prospecting is more effective than calling leads multiple times.

  5. Other tactics include using email marketing and listing alerts, being persistent in booking appointments, and having conversations with potential clients.

This is useful, I think from a couple of perspectives:

  1. I can tell pretty quickly whether I want to watch more (and with Curaytor I always do)

  2. I want to know more information about points 3 and 4 so I could go deeper and ask Chat GPT to explain those further - ie could you give me some pay-per-click strategies that work, what types of outbound prospecting would you recommend?

Not quite limitless, but it does save me a lot of time in figuring out what I want to watch.

What video will you absorb quickly?

Happy Hunting 🚀
