I created a 30 second real estate video with AI

The GPT store (and other things) are now open for business

Before I get into today’s blog post, here's a quick reminder for paid subscribers: Our first “Deep Dive” for 2024 will be tomorrow, Friday, Jan 12, at 12.30 pm Sydney time. I’ve created a page here so you can just hit a simple button that says “Follow Calendar” and have them all in your diary in one click.

I had planned for today’s post to be about what was happening over at CES.

However, if there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that Open AI really knows how to steal the headlines!

Two (big) things:

The GPT Store - everything (at this point) is free

If you’re on the paid version of ChatGPT, you may be able to go to the Explore GPT tab on the left-hand side menu bar as of this morning.

From there, you can search for a GPT, see what’s trending, etc. (Note: These new features are being rolled out slowly around the world as usual, so if you don’t have it quite yet, don’t panic)

In the search bar, you can type something like ‘real estate’ and see what other people are creating for our industry. (Spoiler alert: there are a fair few coaches and advisors on the list!!)

I’ve just made my GPT ‘Hook Master’ public - so you can now search for it in the search bar.

I’ve also had a brief play with a few of the GPTs that have been made public - some of them are a little ‘underwhelming’, particularly if they are just trained on a subset of ChatGPT data with no ‘extra’ training. (Hook Master, for example, has some extra training).

I did kind of like the VEED GPT, which creates a 30-second video without too much effort on my part - although I would have to subscribe to download the video. You can see my results here.

Some initial thoughts: The same rules apply to anything you do in ChatGPT - maybe even more so with other people’s GPTs.

Those rules (again):

  • first draft only

  • fact-check everything.

Watch for another wave of generic information coming your way from users who couldn’t be bothered doing either of those things.

ChatGPT for teams is here

Instead of having multiple subscriptions for ChatGPT throughout your office (which we currently do!) OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Teams version.

The teams version will give you a few things (in addition to streamlined billing solution):

  1. A bigger context window for larger queries

  2. No training on your business data or conversations (exciting!)

  3. Secure workspace for your team (more exciting!)

  4. Admin console for workspace and team management.

You can read more about all of that here.

Happy Hunting 🚀
