How to summarise and chat to a Youtube video

Marshall McLuhan said, "The medium is the message". The question now is, which medium?

I’ll keep this one short and sweet, just like we wish all YouTube videos could be (sometimes).

Don’t you hate clicking on a video, seeing it’s 38 minutes long and wondering how many of those 38 minutes are going to be white noise vs. the answers you’re really looking for?

If you are a video creator - it’s already hard: You’ve got to have great visuals, a compelling hook, a fantastic thumbnail, on-point SEO, a compelling headline, easy-to-navigate chapter markers, info cards, relevant hashtags, a pinned comment and captions….just to get found.

But once you’ve been found, it’s my guess that there are plenty of impatient, time-poor people out there (like me!) who’ll want you to pass the ChatGPT ‘value’ test as well.

Tool of the day

Today’s tool is appropriately named ChatTube.

All you need to do is pop the YouTube video link into the search bar, and ChatTube will allow you to chat with the video.

I tested it out with this OG video of Gavin Rubinstein talking about the listing presentation, and it was pretty good!

But… this was a pretty short video, so I thought I’d test a few longer ones (but I ran out of free credits!)

So I’ll leave you guys to maybe try with this one - on the topic of turning one listing into several.
