Here's something that doesn't work...

"What we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth." - Marcus Aurelius

It’s useful to remember that all that glitters on social media is not necessarily gold.

A great number of likes or views does not mean it’s fact (because we all know social media often rewards engagement over the truth, right?)

So, over on Insta, I spotted a collab between Ryan Fisher, and Both Sides podcast the other day, and the point of discussion was lead generation strategies using ChatGPT, so of course, my ears pricked up.

Basically, the strategy is to use ChatGPT to find the wealthiest people in any given suburb and cold call them all with a script with the objective of getting a meeting.

I don’t know if the “I see things are going well for you… etc,” script would work on me (if I was the one being called) - or for me if I was the caller (I just don’t think I could pull it off and sound sincere).

By the same token, I also might not be the type of person that Ryan works with; every demographic is different and should be marketed to accordingly.

But what definitely does not work is the suggested ChatGPT prompt:

So sorry folks, there are no shortcuts here, you are going to have to go back to researching your area intimately and nurturing that database like a regular person.

Happy Hunting 🚀
