If you’re in real estate, you already know the power of a good checklist.

It not only ensures you cover all the important aspects of your job but also helps you adhere to the guidelines of complex legislation, maintain consistency across the services you provide, and stay organised and productive.

Lately, I’ve been asked how to make these checklists more visual by converting them to video.

Whether your team needs to learn new skills or explain things clearly to tenants, it’s now easier than ever to turn your electronic checklists into engaging videos.

For the avoidance of doubt, this is the type of video I am talking about, which you can produce with a tool like Synthesia or HeyGen - or you can go old school and star in your own video yourself.

But to do either of those things, you’ll need a script, so today’s ChatGPT prompt/s are going to cover three things:

1. Creating a checklist within ChatGPT or Claude

2. Creating the video script from the checklist

3. Creating a “Why you should watch this video” introduction to hook the viewer in and hopefully get them to watch right through to the end.

Use Case: An Open Home Checklist

At the moment, your ability to get the attention of buyers who seem to have their fair share of choices is important, so I’ve landed on an example for this blog post of creating and converting an Open Home Checklist into a video.

First, we will create the checklist with a fairly detailed prompt. This type of prompt could be modified to create any kind of checklist by replacing the task of ‘Open Home’ with other kinds of tasks—for example, new client consultations, property listing checklists, post-sale checklists, tenant onboarding checklists, and more.
