AI can find you a job, build a website, and give you a lift...

And... are Bing getting into real estate?

They say that home is where the heart is… and happily, it’s also where the Wi-Fi connects automatically!!! Either way, I can’t believe we are partway through June and rocketing toward the End of the Financial Year—if you’re in Australia!

It's time for our monthly list of five things; as usual when it comes to my favourite topics of AI and real estate, there's plenty to discuss!

1. LinkedIn is expanding AI job-hunting features for premium subscribers.

Last week, I wrote a post about a world-first property portal with conversational search abilities. This week, LinkedIn seems to have followed suit with new AI-powered tools to help users find jobs, including conversational job searches.

You can even get resume help from the AI, but I would question how much help is too much… particularly if you’re in the hiring position. You can read more about what the plan is here.

2. Is Bing getting into real estate?

While OpenAI appears to be making deals with publishers to incorporate content into ChatGPT, over in the US, realtor.com, Zillow, and Redfin pinged Bing for having unlicensed content (read: Listings) on bing.com/homes.

It was quickly removed.

Inman contacted Microsoft for comment, but they declined.

I’d love to be able to see around corners on this one, but I guess we will all have to wait for the next instalment.

3. Humanoid robots have been driving in Japan

We saw two things I’ve only read about before while we were in Texas:

  1. A Waymo self-driving car (bizarre!) and

  2. The Tesla Cybertruck (a weird sight when stuck in traffic!)

Speaking of traffic, though, researchers in Japan have designed a humanoid robot that can autonomously operate a vehicle by mirroring a human musculoskeletal structure.

This humanoid, named Musashi, is equipped with advanced sensors and a flexible body, enabling it to perform intricate driving tasks like sitting down, manipulating pedals, and steering.

The team's paper has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine and if you’re feeling curious or nerdy, it can be found here.

Meanwhile, here’s Musashi:

4. Medicinal marvels

AI always seems to be in the news for some new medical breakthrough - from robotic head transplants to early detection of blood and other diseases and more.

This week, it’s 3D-printed living skin, which could be the future of artificial skin grafts that look and behave like natural skin.

(This has nothing to do with real estate, of course, but what a time it is to be alive, right?!)

5. Let AI build your website

When Apple made all of their AI announcements last week, it was hard to limit myself to just five things in this post.

However, I have decided to wait and write about them when they deliver something we can use!

Instead, here is something I went down the rabbit hole with over the weekend, which will build a complete website wireframe (and a pretty good one) with just a single prompt.

It’s called relume.ai, and you can test it out by clicking on the link or the image below.

I liked that this one's AI not only gives you a best practice wireframe but also gave me some pretty good ideas for content—generated, of course, by AI.

So there you go - 5 interesting things happening in the AI world this week.

Happy hunting 🚀
